Birth to 24 months
This Friday morning
program is for our smallest patrons. it encourages
communication and personal contact between child and parent.
A great way to meet other new parents. Pre-registration needed.
Toddler Time
Ages 2 and 3
Toddlers, with an adult
friend, can join in this program filled with stories, finger plays,
and songs. Sessions are six to 12 weeks on Wednesday or
Thursday and are offered throughout the year. Pre-register to
join.
PJ Storyhour
Ages 3 to 6
Stories, videos,
finger plays, and crafts related to a specific theme make learning
fun. Held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM.
Pre-register to join.
Storyhour
Ages 4 to 6
Just like PJ Storyhour,
but held every week on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings.
These sessions fill up fast, so pre-register early. |
Kids' Club
Grades 1 to 4
Fun and educational
activities designed especially for boys and girls in elementary
school. Book-related arts and crafts, stories, games and a
chance to make new friendships. Meets during the school year
on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. During the
summer, Kids' Club meets weekly on Wednesday and Thursday at 2:00
PM. Pre-registration is appreciated.
JLCrew
Grades 5 and 6
JLCrew (Junior Library
Crew) provides young teens with a chance to expand their horizons
while learning something new along the way. Each meeting
revolves around a theme specifically designed for this age group.
In the past, the boys and girls have taken a Washington Monument
adventure, enjoyed an ocean-side beach party, and searched for
archeological treasure -- all within the walls of the library.
JLCrew meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. No
need to pre-register. |

Family Reading Program
Held each February, the
Family Reading Program encourages families to read together (adult
or children's books, magazines, newspapers, etc.) to earn a
preselected prize book. Snuggling together with a good book is
a wonderful way to spend cold, winter evenings.

Summer Reading Program
Birth to Grade 6
What a great way to have
fun and engage your brain cells during the summer. Complete
each reading assignment and earn prizes. Goals are set for
each age group. Readers who complete the requirements are
invited to one of the popular Summer Reading Program Parties and
earn a free paperback book. Register during the month of June. |
