Books Being Displayed in the Children's Room of the Main Library

Meet Meredy

Posted on June 25, 2013 at 11:58 AM

Visitors to the Ossian Branch might have noticed a new face behind the desk. Meredy Fritz is working as a clerk here during the summer. For those who visit both buildings, Meredy might look familiar since she has worked at the Main Library since 2004. She is an avid genealogist and assists with the monthly genealogy programs at the Main Library. During the school year, Meredy is employed as an aide at the Bluffton High School library. She lives in Bluffton with her husband and almost two-year old son. Please help us welcome Meredy to our staff.

I’m Susan Dailey, the manager of the Ossian Branch Library. I’ve worked at the library since I was in high school. (In fact, I received my first library paycheck before my driver’s license!) I’m also a “minor celebrity” to the kids in Ossian because I read books to the preschoolers and kindergartners each month. I've written two books for librarians with ideas for storytime and have taught workshops on the topic around the country.
