Books Being Displayed in the Children's Room of the Main Library

Street Fair Activities

Posted on September 16, 2013 at 11:14 AM

It’s official…Street Fair is here!  That means yummy food, parades and very special visitors at the library.  This year Clifford and Curious George will be walking with the library in the opening night parade on Tuesday night.  We are also going to be celebrating our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten finishers that night as well as our very stylish book cart drill team.

If you would like a chance for a photo op with Clifford and Curious George, come visit the bleachers of the Main Stage on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.  The Children’s Room staff will be telling some stories and  will have a small snack for all those in attendance.  If it is raining, we will relocate to Bailey’s coffee shop inside the library for just a photo op and snack.  Hope to see you there.

Salutations from the Children’s Room! This is Stefanie Kipfer checking in from the shelves of picture books, beginning readers and chapter books plus lots of true fact books. When I’m not singing, crafting or reading aloud to our youngest patrons, I’m searching for new books and audiobooks to fill their brains with fun and folly. If I actually get something written for this blog “it just shows what can happen if a person gets out of bed promptly (Charlotte’s Web).” Enjoy!
