Teen Read Week Programs
Teen Read Week!
The library will celebrate Teen Read Week from October 14th thru October 18th. This year’s theme is “Seek the Unknown.” Check out below some great programs we have planned for the week. Also, come and check out our “Banned Books” display in the Teen Zone:
Monday October 14
Bring a t-shirt of your choice and create your very own glow-in-the-dark T-shirt with Glow-in-the-Dark paint. While your t-shirt is drying, we’ll have glow-in-the-dark slime for you to mix up! Registration is required by Friday October 11.
Wash away your fines!
Tuesday October 15
Do you have a fine on your card? This is your chance to wash away your fines by washing books at the library! For every hour that you wash books you can take $12.00 of your fine! Don’t have any fines? Great! You can still wash books and earn a free book of your choice valued at $12.00 or less for every hour and half that you work! That’s up to $36.00 off your fine or two free books and you’ll even get to enjoy a tasty treat while you work. Pre-registration is required so that we can have enough snacks available. You must be in grades 6-12 to participate.
Seeking the Unknown Scavenger Hunt
Thursday October 17
“Seek the unknown” treasure by following the clues and completing the tasks in our library scavenger hunt. Yummy prizes will be awarded to those who successfully complete the hunt! Registration is requested.
Bring a friend or more and we'll see you next week!

Unfortunately the "Wash Away Your Fines" program was yesterday. I am so sorry that you missed it. If you ever have a question and you are not getting an answer in time, please call us at (260) 824-1612 and ask for the Teen Zone.
Also, you can always check the online calendar for the library to see if a program is still open. You can access this by clicking on the "News and Events" tab on the homepage and then selecting Library Events Calendar in the "Related" box on the right-hand side of the page.
