Teen Summer Reading Program

Posted on June 02, 2014 at 2:41 PM

You can now sign-up for the Teen Summer Reading Program! This program will be open to all teens that have finished grades 6-12.  Registration for the program will be open the month of June.

To complete the Teen SRP you only need to read 500 pages.  After you've reached 500 pages, you will get a book of your choice and the privilege to attend the awesome SRP party at the end of the program.  Want the chance to win more prizes?  For every 125 pages you read beyond your first 500, you will receive an entry for our raffle drawings of prizes like: gift cards, ear-buds, art supplies, outdoor gear, sharpies, a snow cone machine, and more!

For those of you that go above and beyond and read 8,000 pages or more, you will be entered into a seperate drawing for a chance to win your very own iPad mini!

We will also offer programs throughout the summer just for Teens.  Some of these programs include:Melted Crayon Art, Dr. Who Party, Cooking Chemistry...more on that later.  Also, for every program you attend throughout the summer, you will receive a 125 page entry!

Have questions or want to learn more?  Visit or call the Teen Zone/Reference desk, or check out our Summer Reading Program page.
