Joe Smekens stopped by the library to present four copies of his recently published book, Window of Wells County, to library director, Stephanie Davis. If you haven’t had the chance yet to peruse this treasure trove of Wells County legends and lore, be sure to check out one of the library’s new copies.

You may start reading because of a Wells County acquaintance or friend, but without a doubt you will keep on turning pages as Joe’s conversational style and compelling stories grab you. Smeken’s best-selling Wells County book is available at the Main library and the Ossian Branch.

Hi! My name is Amy Greiner, or as I am known to the children who visit the library, Miss Amy. I have been a passionate advocate for libraries—especially ours—and especially the Children’s Room for more years than I will disclose on this Blog! Every year brings new children, fresh materials, and first-time experiences, all of which keep me energized and the Children’s Room a hopping, happy place.
