The job will include time at both the information desk and the circulation desk totaling approximately 32 hours/week. Hours will include evenings and Saturdays.

The Audio-Visual clerk is responsible for assisting in maintaining the library’s audio-visual collection for the public. This includes cleaning and maintaining materials, assisting with the display and promotion of materials, and providing viewer’s and listener’s advisory to patrons. Other duties include: scheduling audio-visual materials and equipment, shelving returned materials, preparing materials for cataloging and completing post-processing. The audio-visual clerk will also be scheduled for shifts at the circulation desk.
Experience and educational requirements are as follows:
• High school diploma or GED is required; however, some college is preferred.
• Knowledge of computer technology is required; experience with Microsoft Office, email, internet searching and database use are all important.
• Demonstrated communication skills and an ability to work with people.
• Physical strength and dexterity are required to handle items and boxes up to 35 pounds in weight and to transport loaded book carts; physical ability to reach items on high and low shelves is also required.
The salary range is $9.32 - $10.49, depending on education. The position is 24 hours/week, including evenings and Saturdays.
