Oak Lawn Cemetery
Location: On State Road # 1 on the end of within the Ossian city limits in Jefferson Township, Wells County, Indiana.
The original introduction states “Oak Lawn is one of the last cemeteries to be established in Wells County. Some of the older persons buried here were transferred from older cemeteries. Records have been kept by the cemetery sexton and were recorded by Mrs. Nora Biberstine and Mrs. Faith Higman, members of the Wells County Historical Society.”
S. Dailey walked this cemetery during the summer of 1999. Cemetery records are kept on index cards. This information was copied and incorporated into this updated index.
Minnie Kinnerk was a caretaker for the Waynedale Cemetery. She kept information on several cemeteries in northern Wells County. Her information was added to this index.
