Five-year-old, Jack, lives in a single room with his Ma and
has never been outside. When he turns five he begins to ask
questions. Ma tells him there is an entire world outside of
Room.
Told entirely in Jack’s voice, ROOM is no horror story or
tearjerker, but a celebration of resilience and the love
between parent and child.
‘Astounding, terrifying… It’s a testament to
Donoghue’s imagination that she is able to fashion radiance
from such horror.’
