St. Paul Cemetery
Location: On County Road 300 N west of County Road 100 W, in Rock Creek Township, Wells County, Indiana.
The
original introduction states The Saint Paul Cemetery lies adjacent to the
Saint Paul Lutheran Church and was established after space in the Old Cemetery
became exhausted. The earliest
burial was Homer Houtz who died in 1849. Data was submitted by Mr. Homer Bayless,
member of the Wells County Historical Society.
The
Wells County, Indiana Family History
1837-1992 (WC 977.272 WE) states The site for the church and cemetery was
given by Abraham Mast. The first
person buried in the cemetery was Mikel Swartz in 1860.
