2010 YA Summer Reading Program Rules

1. Completely fill out the information for all 3 books in the booklet.

2. Earn a ticket for each 125 pages you read.  If the book is over 125 pages and under 250 pages, you will receive one ticket.  If it is between 250 and 374 you earn 2 tickets, etc.

3. If the library does not own the book, you must bring the book in to verify the pages.

4. No reference-type material allowed, subject to approval of the YA department.  You must read all of the content of the books you read between June 1st and July 31st.

5. Unnumbered graphic novels are worth 1 ticket.  Books from Adult and YA under 125 pages are worth 1 ticket.  Books under 125 pages from Children's Room will not be accepted.

6. Audio books count as the number of pages in the print copy of the book.  If the library does not own a print copy, then 3 hours = 100 pages.

7. Tickets are to be filled out with the name, grade completed, phone number, email address and tub number.  Please write legibly!  If we cannot read the handwriting on the ticket, we will throw it away.  Tickets may be placed in tubs for specific prizes.  There will be monthly prizes and end of the program prizes.  You do not have to be present to win.

8. The drawing for the end of the program prizes will be held at the Reference/YA desk at the Bluffton Library, Monday, August 2nd, at 1:00 p.m.

9. Everyone will earn a book and the tickets you earned by turning the booklist.  Every book that you read after that will be worth tickets for prizes.  You must read three books to be eligible for the party and end of program prizes.

10. You may also fill out the Genre Bonus Sheet to earn additional tickets for the books you read.

11. All Books must be read by July 31st.  ALL PRIZES MUST BE PICKED UP BY AUGUST 14th.

12. All tickets must be in tubs by closing on July 31st.

13. 9th - 12th grade party, Tuesday, August 3rd, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.

14. 6th - 8th grade party, Thursday, August 5th, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.
